*SAG-support and gear. There are three party buses to pick you up should you not be able to continue.
I CAN do this! "I am of love and light.", my mantra on the hills (one named Quad Buster). Believe me, I thought about sagging. But Hairy/Holy Cow got me up those hills along with some great friends AND strangers (just look at those eyes). Peter asks "will you do it again?'...Hell no! This is insane!
A small town who's ENTIRE school budget is supported from the rider's buying BBQ. The love, support and appreciation for the ALC riders are overwhelming. And the crying begins...seriously..the "ugly" cry. I have to pull over because I can't see the road. At the end of the day every rider is handed a note from one of the students to thank them. Mine was from Taranika..."Dear Rider, Drink lots of water. Also, take breaks. Do you know Ms. Hedges? Always remember, never give up. Keep your eyes open for broken glass. Beware of cars. Always wear sunscreen. From Taranika"...and the crying/sobbing continues.
